So... Why Sharks?

Instead of going the floral route as most tampon companies do, I chose a more humorous approach that is not commonly seen in feminine hygiene products. The humorous approach I took happened to be inspired by slang used for periods, one of which is referred to as shark week. 

The goal of the packaging system was to create an engaging, light-hearted packaging that resonated with a youthful audience while also being educational and fun. The vibrant colors differ greatly from other feminine hygiene products which are often depicted in either florals or black packaging. Some fun highlights of the unpackaging include the use of the overhanging shark head that reveals a bite mark for the perforated opening.
